Fern - Alder - F

The Gaelic name for the alder tree is Fern. Fern is a symbol of compassion. The roots of this tree help provide rich nutrients to the soil, changing poor ground into rich earth. Folklore tells us it was much loved by a white fairy horse. Fern, is about finding balance and strength through mindful care of the environment and oneself. In the ancient lunar calendar Alder represented 21st February – 20th March.
